While you are out protecting the public, who's protecting you? PLEA - The Professional Law Enforcement Association, that's who.

For more than 15 years, PLEA has been protecting and serving the men and women who protect our neighborhoods and communities by providing the finest legal defense protection available. Their program is specifically designed for Legal Defense under H.R. 218 (Active & Retiree).

PLEA's Legal Defense Fund will pay legal fees, on behalf of participants, for the following matters arising from a duty related incident, as defined in the PLEA Legal Defense Handbook and Summary Plan Description. These incidents include:

Defense of criminal charges.
Defense of civil lawsuits.
Defense of administrative proceedings arising from incidents involving the public.

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide information that will help promote law enforcement safety.

The NLPOA has worked closely with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund since its inception and believes strongly in their work and service to the law enforcement community. The NLPOA was instrumental in raising funds for the Memorial and considers this Museum equally as important to the national Latino law enforcement community.

If you'd like to learn more, and/or help with the fundraising efforts, visit the NLPOA on-line fundraising page in support of the National Law Enforcement Museum. Over 40 law enforcement organizations have donated $100,000 or more each. Help NLPOA be counted among that number.
